Jag sitter i mitt kök (som vanligt) smuttar på en latte och en Ardbeg, och drömmer om kvällens bravader.
I väntan på detta tänkte jag att jag skulle relatera en smula information om mig själv. Information som framkommit under en profilering på jobbet. Det är nämnligen så att vi genomfört ett DISC-test för att profilera oss, för att kunna samarbeta effektivare, och för att kunna uppnå mer resutlat till mindre kostnad.

Profileringen värderar personligheten inom fyra olika områden, och kommer sedan med utlåtande om personligheten. Hur den arbetar, vad som motiverar den, hur den samarbetar, och lite annat smått och gott.

De fyra olika variablerna är Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance.
Riktigt simpelt så kan man kanske beskriva dem så här:

• Dominance: Kontrollbehov, och behov av att leda snarare än att ledas.
• Influence: Socialt behov, impulsivitet, och behov av att andra tänker väl om en.
• Steadiness: Behov av stabilitet, lojalitet, förmåga att planera.
• Compliance: Behov av struktur, hänsyn till detaljer, och behov av att följa rutiner.

This is an unusual profile shape, as are all profiles containing both high Dominance and Steadiness. Motivating Factors
Profiles with multiple high factors have a variety of motivating factors, and these can express themselves in different ways according to circumstance. In this case, motivating factors include the achievement of results, time to adapt to changing situations, a full understanding of fact and detail and an avoidance of risk. There will clearly be times when elements of this complex group of motivations conflict with one another.

Samarbetsmässigt så är det inte helt lyckat med situationer där en person med de här egenskaperna måste samarbeta med personer som uppvisar en hög nivå av Influence, aka med högt socialt behov.
